Praise God, he has an artificial leg 3 days ago and hope to be on his feet withing 12 days.
Ian and I visited Gospel Care Centre, an orphan home in Bilal Town, Raiwind Road, Lahore, and played games with them.
Peace starts with Smile.
World Peace Day was celebrated by Starfish Play for Peace Club in Youhanabad, Lahore Pakistan. The following schools and homes participated in it.
- Ghouri Wisdom High School.
- Light School System
- Dean Public School
- Abba Home (Home for orphan girls)
- Agape Love Home (Home for children in Special need)
A peace walk of 500 meter was arrange on the main street of Youhanabad.
Participants stop, and observed 1 minute silent in front of the St. John’s Church. The church was attacked by a suicide attacker last year, some died and many were injured.
Children sang songs about peace and gave some speeches too, and it was said ” PEACE IS MOTHER OF PROGRESS”
One teacher said in her speech that ” Peace starts by Smile“.

Ashir Akram scored 999 marks out of 1100 @ 90% in his matriculation examination two years ago. He had a dream to be a doctor. Starfish came to know about him and promised him to support him go to college. Through a help by a Pakistani couple he was provided Starfish scholarship to even go to academy.
He was saying to me last night; If Starfish wouldn’t be there, “I would have not been able to continue my studies and reach on this level.”
I am pleased to write that in his Intermediate examination of F.Sc, he has scored 1017 marks out of 1100 @ 92%.
Starfish provided him the support for preparation of entry test for Medical College and his total achievement for Medical College is 91.34%. which means that he is all set to get admission in King Edward Medical College Lahore.
We stand committed with Ashir Akram for his medical studies to become a doctor and even a specialized Doctor.
